"I will sing of the lovingkindness of the LORD forever; to all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth . . . Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; lovingkindness and truth go before You. How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O LORD, they walk in the light of Your countenance." Psalm 89:1, 14-15

What a beautiful, joyful Psalm! Thank you so much for posting it along with such a lovely photograph! Verse 15 makes me think of that great day when He will return and we will dwell in a "city [that has] no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light . . ." (Rev. 21.23-24). Maranatha, Lord Jesus (1 Cor 16.22)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious day that will be! To behold our Savior, our Lord, our Redeemer. We cannot even begin to imagine how wonderful it will be!
ReplyDeleteIt also brings to mind what our mindset should be as we await the return of our Lord:
“The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another . . . .” (1 Peter 4:7-8a)
“For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night . . . let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.” (1 Thessalonians 5:2, 8)
Thank you for your comment, Philothea! It was such a blessing to us!
